With the goal of enhancing educational quality and fostering holistic student development, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has compiled a booklet titled “Transforming School Education through NEP” that features some of the key reforms in the perspective of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE), 2023. The soft copy of the booklet is made available in the Board’s portal nbsenl.edu.in. The hard copy can be collected anytime from the Board’s office.

The NCFSE 2023 is a comprehensive framework that covers the aims and curricular areas of education, school stages, learning standards, pedagogy, content, assessment, school subjects/areas, cross-cutting themes, school culture and processes, and creating a supportive ecosystem. For easy reference, some of the key reforms are being discussed in this booklet, which are expected to be implemented in the Registered Institutions of the Board.

All Institutions are therefore requested to develop a plan to implement the recommended reforms and take steps to put the plan in action. Institutions are to regularly monitor and evaluate the implementation of these reforms. This can help identify what’s working, what’s not, and where adjustments need to be made. All Heads of Institutions shall make all possible efforts to implement the reforms as enshrined in the document. As Institutions develop effective strategies, they can share their best practices with other schools. This can help improve the quality of education across the entire State.

In this regard, Institutions are to document and share the effective and innovative strategies they have developed in implementing these reforms under “Best Innovative Practices”. This report (along with supporting photographs and short videos) is to be submitted to the Board at academicnbse@gmail.com within 30th September 2024.
