In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, ADC Naginimora, Vineet Kumar, IAS on 1st May 2021 ordered the sealing of House No. 145, Police Colony, Ward No. 8, House No. 20, Police Colony, Ward No. 8 and House No. 2, Bazar Colony, Ward No. 8 till further order.

Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable. (Renbenthung, IA Mon)

MY NAGINIMORA MY HOME MISSION LAUNCHED

A mission named "My Naginimora My Home" for the ‘holistic and sustainable development of Naginimora town' was launched on 1st May, 2021 at Town Council hall, Naginimora with Deputy Commissioner, Mon K Thavaseelan (IAS) as the Special Guest.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Naginimora, Vineet Kumar, IAS, gave an overview of the programme where he said that the main aim of the mission is to create a sense of belongingness among people in the development process. The mission will work simultaneously on three aspects namely "Town Beautification and Cleanliness", improvement of "Infrastructure and Service Delivery" and creating "Sustainable Economy" by involving people. Three committees involving members from Administration, various Departments and Civil Society Organisations would steer the mission.

The Special Guest felicitated sanitation workers for their hard work and presented them with PPE items. He also encouraged all the departments and NGOs to keep on striving hard and asked people to own the mission for the betterment of the citizens and development of the town.

The chairperson of the program was SDO (Power) Naginimora, Nyoingam Konyak. President KU, Naginimora, Khampei Konyak gave a short speech highlighting the potential of the town and need of this mission.

The special guest planted sapling at the town council hall campus. HoDs, NGO leaders, town leaders, pastors and principals of various school attended the program.

S&WC DEPARTMENT BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING REGISTRAR

The Department of Soil & Water Conservation bid farewell to its outgoing Registrar Zasevituo Theünuo on 30th April 2021. The program was held in Conference Hall at the Soil & Water Conservation Directorate.

Superintendent, Hotoli Shikhu mentioned a brief history and profile of work carried out in various capacities by the outgoing officer which was followed by presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to the outgoing officer.

The retiring officer Zasevituo Theünuo in his speech expressed his gratitude towards the Department for organising the program on his behalf while also recalling the fond memories he created during his service. This was followed by a short speech by the Director, S&WC who lauded and sincerely thanked the Registrar for the diligent and sincere work carried out by him and wished him a happy retirement while extending his best wishes for his future endeavour.

The program was chaired by Lily Tep, Joint Director and vote of thanks was proposed by Denis Angami, Joint Director.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Pfutsero and Block Task Force chairman in a notification said that in reference to Deputy Commissioner Phek Order vide No.DCPK/DEVI/COVID19/2020/218 dated Phek the 30th April 2021 with regard to facilitate contact tracing of persons affected with COVID-19 in future, the following instructions has been issued for all public transport owners (Bus/Taxi):

1. All Public /Private Transport counters functioning within Pfutsero Sub-Division shall mandatorily maintain Register/Notebook to record details of all passengers on daily basis.

2. The Register/Notebook should compulsorily contain date wise information with detailed address & contact number of the passenger.

3. The Assistant Station Superintendent (NST) Pfutsero will be responsible for this implementation.

4. All Nagaland Taxi Association, Pfutsero unit will be held responsible for this Implementation.
