250th Rammohan Roy Birth Anniversary was held here at Phek Headquarters on 22nd June 2022. The rally was flagged off from the district hospital junction and culminated at Government Higher Secondary School Auditorium, Phek.

Speaking on the occasion, EAC Phek, Tshelhi-u, congratulating the participants, said the anniversary marks the fight against evil practices like Sati and child marriage and discrimination against women and children. She reminded that women have equal rights to men and that their rights should not be neglected.

The programme was chaired by Asstt. Research Officer Chirhala Pochury and the folk tune was presented by G.H.S.S students.
