DC NOKLAK ENCOURAGES FOR PARTICIPATION IN STATE LEVEL HALF MARATHON
The office of the Deputy Commissioner, Noklak has informed that the 78 Battalion CRPF in collaboration with Sports Authority of India (SAI) will be organising state level Half Marathon under "SPANDAN" sports for peace & development across nation on 05th October 2026 in Kohima.
The proposed state level Half Marathon is envisaged as a major sporting event and will offer 60 prizes across 3 categories with a total prize value of approximately 6.30 lakhs.
DC POLAN JOHN CALLS FOR COORDINATED ANTI-DRUG ACTION
Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima, Polan John, NCS, called for coordinated and sustained efforts by all concerned departments to strengthen the district’s anti-drug campaign on 24th September 2026 at the DC’s office chamber, Choumukedima.
Addressing a review meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed departments to submit reports on activities undertaken, which will be compiled and reviewed in subsequent meetings for effective follow-up.
DISTRICT LEVEL COMMITTEE ON DISABILITIES MEETING HELD IN KOHIMA
The District Level Committee on Disabilities for Kohima held its meeting on September 24, 2026 at the Office Chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, under the chairmanship of DC, B. Henok Buchem, NCS.
The meeting brought together representatives from various departments and stakeholders to discuss measures for strengthening the welfare, inclusion, accessibility and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in Kohima district.

A total of 24,178 electors has been listed as “Uncollectable” in the six Assembly Constituencies of Kohima district following the publication of the Draft Electoral Roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) on September 20, 2026.
DC ZUNHEBOTO ISSUES ACTION PLAN FOR REFORM UTSAV 2026
The Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, IAS, has released the District Action Plan for Reform Utsav in Zunheboto on 24th September 2026.
The plan aims to create public awareness, ensure inclusive participation of village councils, wards and marginalised communities, and drive reforms through Jan Manthan (Discover), Vimarsh (Deliberate), Jan Samadhan (Deliver) and Sankalp Siddhi (Celebrate).
