Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, NCS, has issued an order following the confirmation of an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) at T. Khel Model Village, Khikha Colony under Kohima district.
According to a laboratory test report received from the Office of the Chief Veterinary Officer, Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, the outbreak was confirmed on June 11, 2026.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, NCS, through a notification dated 17th June 2026, notified the approved list of Village Council Members (VCMs) for 55 villages under Kohima district for the tenure 2026–2031 with immediate effect.
The notification was issued in pursuance of directives from the Commissioner, Nagaland, and approval of the Government of Nagaland under the provisions of the Nagaland Village and Tribal Councils Act, 1978, as amended.
