The inaugural program of the 2nd Edition of Inter-Departmental Sports Tournament 2024, Mokokchung district was held at multi sports complex, Mokokchung on 3rd October 2024.

Delivering the welcome address, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung Thsuvisie phoji said such an event bring together employees from different departments irrespective of their designation thus creating an atmosphere to interact in a casual setting. He also urged the participants to take this opportunity to forge friendship during the event so that better coordination can be maintain between the departments   for the betterment of the district.

Highlights of the program includes greetings from vice president Ao Senden, Aowati Ozukum, presentation of special song by Fazl Ali college students, handing over the Championship Trophy to the organizer by the District Executive Force, Mokokchung the Champion of 1st Inter-Departmental Sports tournament 2023. Oath taking of the participating team was carried out by Anguvito sumi, District Sport Officer & Secretary organizing Committee. The program was chaired by Imyapangla, Project Director, DRDA, Mokokchung while invocation was pronounced by Fr. Sajimon, Parish & Priest & Principal Queen Mary Hr. Sec. School, Mokokchung.

The three day event will feature competition in the following sports discipline, Table tennis, Carom, Arm wrestling, Chess & Badminton.
