The Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB), Bhandari, convened its monthly departmental coordination meeting at the Additional Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Bhandari on 6th December 2024. The meeting was chaired by ADC and Vice Chairman SDPDB, Longasen Lotha, NCS, who welcomed newly posted officers to the subdivision.

During the meeting, ADC Lotha informed the members that land has been acquired for the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Ralan, with construction scheduled to commence in January 2025.

Chairman of the Town Council, Bhandari, Khonthungia Michael Odyuo, updated the board on negotiations with landowners for the construction of an office complex for Bhandari. He mentioned that the process of finalizing land resolutions is underway.

The board also resolved to conduct a series of village inspection tours focusing on “inspirational villages” within a time frame, aiming for completion by January 2025. ADC Lotha urged the concerned departments to provide necessary logistical support to ensure the program's success.

Highlighting the progress in the power sector, Er. Vungthungo L. Mury, SDO (Electrical), shared updates on the department’s initiatives under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (BMSGMBY). He noted that the department is working to enhance electricity facilities and promote the Roof Top Solar (RTS) Scheme for residential houses. Also, efforts to clear jungle growth around power lines will be undertaken to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers.

Various departments also shared updates on their respective activities and plans during the meeting.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to collective development efforts and enhancing coordination among departments.
