The 15th Pre-Ahuna festival cum Cultural Competition, 2024, organised by Satakha Area Sports and Cultural Association (SASCA) was celebrated at Satakha town on 12th November 2024, graced by Minister for Roads & Bridges, G. Kaito Aye as the Chief Guest.

Minister, while delivering his greetings, lauded the organizers for valuing the identity of the unique past and history and fostering a vision for the future generations by feeding the younger generation with valuable insights about our tradition and culture by initiating such events. Further, Aye encouraged the participating units by thanking the village chiefs for their sincerity in part taking in the celebration and appealed to the non-participating units to be more enthusiastic in such events. He asserted that it is our unique history and traditions that bind us together though being from different villages, areas, clans etc. and said one should never forget our roots. Furthermore, Aye suggested to the organizers that, the events of the festival should not be routine events each year but look at initiating different items beyond, in order to keep the interests and excitements alive for more, over the years. He concluded by exhorting the entire gathering that, the present generation is solely responsible for carrying our tradition, culture and indigenous past, to the future. Later, the minister declared the festival open and wished the best to all the competitors.

All together, the gala witnessed 15 units from Satakha Area, vying in various traditional, cultural and indigenous activities and games.
