On the occasion of the Armed Forces Flag Day, the Nagaland Governor, La Ganesan said that the day is observed throughout the country on 7th December to honour the Martyrs and the men in uniform, the country is forever indebted to these gallant heroes who laid down their lives in the service towards the motherland. It is our duty to not only show our admiration for the martyrs and the living heroes who were wounded while doing their duties but also to their families who have been a crucial part of this sacrifice.

Our flag represents hopes and aspirations of the people and a symbol of our national pride. On this occasion, Ganesan appealed to all citizens to contribute generously towards the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund for the welfare of serving Defence Personnel, Battle Casualties, War Widows, Resettlement of Ex- Servicemen and their dependents.

On this Armed Forces Flag Day, may the spirit of patriotism and respect fill our hearts. In the face of adversity, our armed forces stand strong. May we always remember and appreciate their bravery. A big salute to our brave soldiers for their sacrifices.
