A meeting of the Tuensang District Sports Council was held on 12th October 2026 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall Tuensang. The meeting was chaired by Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, NCS, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman of District Sports Council Tuensang.
The meeting deliberated on the upcoming Nagaland state Olympic to be held on 2nd November 2026. Out of 15 disciplines of Nagaland Olympic, the Council have resolved to participate in 9 disciplines namely volleyball, Badminton, Taekwondo, Basketball, Athletics, Wushu, Football, Table Tennis and Wrestling inclusive of male and female.
During the meeting, 140 sports personnel have been selected to represent Tuensang in the upcoming Nagaland Olympic.
