The first departmental review meeting was held on 5th February 2022 at Chief Secretary’s conference hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima with Industries and Commerce as the first department to present. 

The team of senior government officials led by Chief Secretary, J Alam, IAS, were apprised of the various developments taken up by the Department of Industries and Commerce. The Department highlighted on activities under the Ministry of MSME, Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PM EGP), Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME), activities under Startup Nagaland program etc. They also shared their problems and issues pertaining to the implementation of schemes & projects and establishment matters of the office. Officials of the Department of Industries and Commerce also shed some light on the way forward and the strategy for the Department. 

Chief Secretary, J Alam stated that the purpose of the departmental review meeting was to highlight issues of various departments, to rejuvenate and bring the department on focus.
