Advisor Information & Public Relation, Village Guards Government of Nagaland S. Keoshu Yimkhiung graced Thoktsur Village Guard Golden Jubilee on 31st October 2022 as Special Guest at Thoktsur Village.

In his speech, he said that the Village Guard Personnel had rendered their invaluable service in guarding, protecting, and maintaining law and order in its area. He also said that their valuable services and sacrifices had been nationally recognized by conferring many Awards in recognition of their meritorious service and sacrifices over the years. He urged VGs to shun their differences to achieve development and progress in the remote area of the state to set an example of unity and strength by living in harmony. 

Dr. Pritpal Kaur Batra, IPS, SP Noklak District said that Village Guards are the one who guards places where the police personnel can't reach. Beginning in 1957 and even during Mara Pane War, VGS have rendered their invaluable services and supreme sacrifices. She also said that people must Salute them for their acts of bravery and heroism and urged them to continue living to their good name as the finest VGs volunteer.

Advisor L.Khumo as the Guest of Honour also spoke on the need to live in unity. Commandant VG Noklak K. Heno spoke on the occasion.

Earlier the dignitaries were received warmly by the Thoktsur VG and followed by the folk dance from the Wui Village Dancing Troup and a vote of thanks was delivered by GB M. Puchai.
