Chief Secretary, J. Alam, IAS stated that with regular functioning of government offices in the state, the biometric system of attendance will resume in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat and directed the Directorate to follow suit. The Chief Secretary was addressing the AHoDs and HoDs meeting at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima on 25th May 2022. He also reiterated that attendance should be monitoring in all government offices and ‘No Pay No Work’ should be implemented strictly.

            Alam also informed that the Prime Minister of India will be interacting nationwide with beneficiaries of government schemes as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on 31st May 2022 and directed all concerned departments to prepare for the occasion. He also added that the state level programme will be held in Kohima while all districts will participate in their respective headquarters.

            The Chief Secretary also directed all departments to submit the names of Nodal Officer for Advertisement related matters to the department of Information & Public Relations. He also instructed all departments who have pending advertisement bills to clear them at the earliest.

            The Chief Secretary reminded the AHoDs and HoDs to personally take care of court cases so as to void contempt of court. The meeting reviewed the agenda of the last meeting minute. The department of Industries & Commerce made a power point presentation on “Ease of doing Business”. The department stated that the Nagaland single window system is being developed for conducting business with government offices.

Alam informed that the first advertisement of NSSB will be out soon and instructed all concerned departments to submit their requisition post at the earliest.

The department of IT&C gave an update on departmental website. It was also informed in the meeting that the department of IT&C will be conducting training on website updation, social media and state portal on 7th June 2022 at the Directorate of IT&C from 11 am and all departments have been requested to nominate their respective IT Nodal Officer to attend the training.
