Longleng District conducted IEC awareness program cum training on Waste Segregation and Plastic Waste Management for ULB Staff and Stakeholders under the State Mission Directorate on 5th August 2022 at DC's Conference Hall Longleng.

The meeting was chaired by Trongdiba Tongpi Sangtam, SDO (C) Longleng. The resource persons were Niksangla Jamir and Athungbeni from Living for Environment (Life) NGO.

At the meeting, Jamir presented through PowerPoint on Improper disposal; Impact on Air by Waste; Diseases caused by Waste; Ban on Plastic Carrier Bags; Global Top waste Stream, and Top Waste Stream in India and Nagaland, and they also had an interactive session with the stakeholders.

The programme was attended by Public leaders, GBs, Ward Leaders, PSC, and Church Leaders.
