As part of celebrating the 75th year of India's Independence Day, Kohima District Level for implementation of New India@75 activities conducted a virtual awareness drive on HIV & AIDS, TB and Blood Donation for Students of Corragio School and Dr. Neilhouzhü GHSS, Seikhazou in Kohima on 9th September 2021.
The subcommittee for awareness drive led by its Convernor, Ainato Yeptho Dy. Director NSACS & President Voluntary Blood Donors Association, Kohima, organised the first phase of awareness drive for the students under the aegis of National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Ministry of H&FW.
During the virtual awareness drive, about New India@75 - awareness and online competition were shared in the opening remakes followed by three sessions. First session on HIV & AIDS imparted by resource person DIS, DAPCU, Vituozolie Kuotsu while the second session on Tuberculosis (TB) by resource person DTO Kohima, Dr. Akaba and the third session on importance of Blood Donation by Dy. Director NSACS, Ainato Yeptho.
In another awareness drive with Dr. Neilhouzhü GHSS, Counsellor, MICTC, NSACS, Aoyangla spoke on HIV & AIDs while Sr. Medical Officer, DOTs Plus site, Dr Kezhasino Meru spoke on TB and Medical Officer, Blood Bank, Dr. Avila on importance of Blood Donation.
The same program for Holy Family Hr. Sec. School, Christ King Hr. Sec. School and GHS, Chandmari in Kohima will be conducted on 10th September 2021.
