An awareness programme on Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) and SWM rules 2026 was organised by PHED Sub-division Bhandari, Wokha on 24th September 2026 at Town hall Bhandari, under the theme: ‘Swachhata main sab bhag, Swachh Bharat, Visit Bharat’.

The keynote address was delivered by Er. K. Hukato Shohe, SDO (PHED) Bhandari, while Er, Renathung, SDO (PHED) Sanis spoke on the theme, Solid Waste Management and the SWM rules 2026. He also highlighted four-way waste segregation, Prevention of lettering in public places, and avoiding of single use plastic.

A total of 107 participants attended the awareness programme, Including, Chairman & members of Town Council Bhandari, President & members of Eleo Hoho Bhandari, President & members of Bhandari town students’ union and VCC, Watsan Chairman and members from 20 villages.
