Distribution ceremony of Morpho device to Digipay sakhi in commemorating “AZAD KI AMRIT MOHATSAV- 75 years of Indian Independence” was held on 13th August 2021 at DPDB Hall, Kohima
Highlighting the Digipay Sakhi (alternate banking model), State Program Manager Financial Inclusion SMMU, NSRLM, Rajuselie Lhousa stated that digital finance was one of the key intervention under financial inclusion where India plans to deploy BC in all Gram Panchayat under “Mission one BC One GP”. Stating that Nagaland has a plan to position 500 BCs by 2025, he mentioned that Morpho device which were distributed to 27 Women Area Co-ordinator Financial Inclusion of seven blocks under Kohima district (Digipay Sakhi) would provide financial transaction services at their doorsteps for the convenience of all the villages which could be run at home or at common service centre (Digipay Sakhi). He also informed that, for the State Mission, FI Frontline workers includes the master Bookeeper placed in all the villages; Bank Sakhi sitting in the bank branches; the Business Correspondence or Digipay (BC) Sakhi or customer service points (CSP); Bima Sakhi; and FLCRPs, Udyomi (enterprise) Sakhi will be implement very soon.
State Head Common Service Centre, Lanusosang Jamir briefed on utilization of device, while the devices were handed over by ADC Kohima, N. Bhavani Shri, IAS. The function was chaired by ADPM, DMMU NSRLM, Vitsizo Semou while vote of thanks was delivered by DFS, DMMU NSRLM, Vilalhounuo Solo.
The programme was organised by NSRLM, Department of Rural Development, DMMU in collaboration with CSC Kohima.
