As part of the observance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav week was held at Tseminyu, organised by Tseminyu Town Council and District Administration, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu, Manpai Phom, under the theme "Kachra Alag Karo Amrit Diwas" (Waste segregation day) from 29th September 2021 to 2nd October 2021.

The highlights of the activities include ward level review of the solid waste management plan with special focus on waste segregation, proper implementation of individual household home composting for segregation of wet/bio-degradable waste at the household level, ward level cleanliness drive with focus on collection of plastic waste.

The Tseminyu Town Council, District Administration and other officials visited all the 9 (nine) wards and interacted with the ward sanitation committee and GBs.
