“Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Week  - The Daughters of New India” was celebrated at the Village Council Hall at Old Riphyim Village by District Administration and Mahila Shakti Kendra, Wokha (MSK) under BBBP on 23rd January 2022.

Speech on the importance of Girl Child Education was delivered by Anuranjan Singh, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, who said that parents should not decide their children’s career, rather they should encourage and support them to choose and make their own career path which he said will eventually lead to healthy society for the girl child to grow.

Village Council Chairman, Village Development Secretary, Arunna, representative of NIRD, Hyderabad, Council Members, VDB Members, School Management Committee Chairman, Self Help Groups (SHGs), ASHA, Anganwadi workers and other members also attended the programme.
