Bhandari celebrated the 43rd Tokhvü Emong with K. Libanthung Lotha, IAS Secretary to the Government of Nagaland as the special guest at the Public Sports Ground on 7th November 2022.

Bringing festival greetings to the huge gathering the special guest reflected on the theme Introspect, Revive and Co-operate" and called for unity and cooperation to achieve progress in the present society.

Detachment of the younger generation from the imitable and rich legacy of our forefathers and losing touch with our roots is as dangerous as neglecting our valuable customs, traditions, and folklore he said, because it may lead us to gradually lose our identity as a people, he added and stressed that everyone should do their bit in the effort to revive and preserve our ageless culture and traditions.

Eramo Rhanlamo Kikon, who narrated how Tokhvü Emong in the olden days was celebrated observed that with time many traditional practices and characteristics of the most revered festival have lost their ritualistic practices.

Commandant 7th NAP Bhandari, Yanithung Ezung, in his exhortation also said that the celebration of Tokhü Emong used to be a gateway to new beginning in many aspects for individual and social relations and growth in the past and it still fosters goodwill between people in the present times.

The celebration programme was led by senior GB P. Longshithung Odyuo.
