The full text is as follows:

“A total of 50 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 3,168. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Out of the 3,168 positive cases, the total active cases are 2,015 and there are 7 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 2,011 active cases are asymptomatic 2 active cases are mild and 2 active cases are moderate.

 

Further, out of the 3,168 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are 1,447 cases of Armed Forces, 1,117 cases of Returnees, 203 cases of Frontline Workers, 347 cases of Traced Contacts and 54 cases of Others.

 

A total of 30,183 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 28,550 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 19,999 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat.

 

A total of 1,885 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.”
