BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 16TH OF SEPTEMBER 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, HOME

The Full Text is as Follows:

“A total of 34 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 1 in Kohima, 31 in Dimapur and 2 in Mon. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 5,263.

Out of the 5,263 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 3,968. The active cases are 1,261 and there have been 10 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,252 active cases are asymptomatic, 7 active cases are mild and 2 active cases are moderate.

Further, out of the 5,263 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are:  2,481 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,418 cases of Returnees, 320 cases of Frontline Workers and 1,044 cases of Traced Contacts.

A total of 45,353 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 44,729 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 25,731 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 25,714 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test, 1,188 samples have been tested.

A total 637 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine”.
