“Till date a total of 639samples have been sent for testing from the State including 10 samples that have been sent today. The results of 620 samples have been received and all are negative. Results for 19samples are awaited.

I am happy to inform that the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri. Neiphiu Rio has launched10 ambulances acquired by the State Government at Dimapur District Hospital this morning. The Hon’ble Chief Minister also met the Medical personnel at the District Hospital and inspected the preparedness for COVID-19 at the Hospital.

All the District Hospitals in the State have also been advised to continue delivery of selected services such as OPD and other day care services till such time COVID-19 related patients are admitted in the Hospital, provided that, adequate barriers are installed to prevent intermingling of patients and to avoid overcrowding.

In connection to the Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) partnering with the Department of Health & Family Welfare for providing OPD service in the Districts, the health care services has also been started in Wokha District at town Sub Centre and in Mokokchung at Kumlong Sub Centre, Impur Clinic and Impur Christian Hospital besides Kohima and Dimapur. The OPD service will be available from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Depending on the availability of volunteers, similar arrangements will be expanded to other locations and Districts.  Therefore, I would again like to request healthcare professional who wishes to volunteer for the initiative to kindly Whatsapp their details to 9402245812.

The position of availability of the essential goods and commodities continue to be comfortable across the State.
