District level ' Under/14, Catch Them Young' tournament kick started at local ground, Zunheboto on 30th October 2021 with Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo gracing the event as the special guest.

While delivering her introductory speech, DSO/YRO Zunheboto, Atoli Yeptho informed that, all together there were around 250 participants from 6 different schools vying in the tournament, in three fields of games, Athletics/100 & 800 meters races, Shotput, High jump and Long Jump, Badminton and Table Tennis. Yeptho also informed that the district level winners will be selected to represent the district in the state level tournament at Kohima in the month of November.

Deputy Commissioner while stressing on the importance of the event said that, competing, winning and getting selected itself should not be the only prime focus but participation with discipline is the most significant aspect of a true sportsperson's life. Not everyone can come out triumph but everyone will be regarded as winners if participated with a true sportsperson's spirit, he added.

Earlier, the opening function was chaired by DSO/YRO Zunheboto, Atoli Yeptho, while oath taking was administered by Kivilu K. Kiba.

The event is being organised by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports in collaboration with Zunheboto District Badminton Association, Zunheboto District Table Tennis Association and Zunheboto District Athletics Association.
