Celebration of Anna Yojana & Public Distribution System under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, organized by Food & Civil Supplies Department, was held at CKS Hall, Tuensang on 26th April 2022.

Special guest of the programme, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant encouraged the gathering to be transparent in everything you do so that the government’s objective can be achieved. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate the achievements of India throughout these years has been reflected and strives to eradicate the factors hindering the development and growth. PMGKAY scheme has served greatly to an appreciable extend during pandemic as per the observations and it has benefited the beneficiaries to great extent, for which he also appreciated the department and the stakeholders who involved in the implementation part.

Nunsanglemba Chang President also appreciated the government for PMGKAY schemes and initiatives of PDS in touching the poorest section of people in times of the pandemic and he also encouraged the beneficiaries to work hard while consuming the free distributions of ration so that the harvest will be a surplus for the family supplies.

Assistant Director, Food & Civil Supplies, Ekoni Humtsoe gave a brief report on PMGKAY scheme.
