The celebration was held at Leangha Village, Mon on 26th July 2022. The village was chosen because of the recent installation of a 25 KVA transformer in the Loung-Chinglen area under its jurisdiction besides an already installed 100 KVA transformer in the village. 

Chief Guest, Advisor Land Resources & Chairman DPDB, Mon, C.L. John thanked the Prime Minister for all the schemes that have had a positive impact on the lives of the common people. He also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister under whose leadership all the schemes are being implemented successfully in the State. He urged the gathering to utilize electricity wisely and efficiently and also develop the habit of paying for electricity. He stressed the importance of practical education and economic empowerment and encouraged the villagers to inculcate life skills in their children.

MLA, N Thongwang Konyak stressed the importance of all-around participation by all the stakeholders for development to come.

Speeches were also delivered by DC Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, District Nodal Officer, N. Orenthung Odyuo, and Chairman, Leangha Village Council. 

The event witnessed the screening of videos on the Government's initiatives and activities in the power sector and a cultural performance by Leangha Unit KNSK.

The event was chaired by SDO (E), Mon Division, Er. Thanyalo Kath while the vote of thanks was delivered by Executive Engineer (E) Mon, Er. Tingtenmoie Konyak. Over 300 villagers participated in the celebration.
