Central Team from Post -Disaster Needs Assessment (PNTA) from MHA visited Tuensang on 6th October 2026 and had a brief interaction session at DC Conference Hall Tuensang, with the line Departments and view the assessment of damage caused by the incessant rainfall in the District.

Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa in her speech, highlighted the damages caused by monsoon and later submitted the detailed reports to the visiting Team. The Central Team is comprised of Lead Consultant NDMA, Shashank Mishra; PC Sena Senior Consultant NDMA, Chandi; Scientist E CBRI Roorkee, Mickey Mecon; Assistance Professor NIDM, Dr. Gagandeep Singh; Assistance Professor NIDM, Rohit Kumar; Sr. Consultant Infrastructure Sector, Indra Bose; Sr. Consultant Productive Sector, CP Mohan.

The Central Team was accompanied by Asst. Manager Relief, Recovery and mitigation NSDMA, L. Jonjibemo Odyou. The Team also visited the Landslides area at IOC, Post Office Ward Tuensang Town.
