A monsoon preparedness review meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister of Nagaland & Chairman NSDMA, Neiphiu Rio at the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, Kohima on 23rd May 2022. The meeting was attended by a host of Cabinet Ministers, Advisors, senior government officials and officials from the departments.

The Chief Minister while briefing the officials present asked the concerned departments involving in monsoon related works be prepared with necessary machineries and other essential commodities for any eventuality. He urged all the line departments to give extra efforts and do their job effectively so as to avert and mitigate the impact of monsoon fury.

He also interacted with the Deputy Commissioners through Video Conferencing and took stock of the present situation in the districts. Meanwhile, the DCs also shared about the monsoon preparedness and the status of food and other essential commodities in the districts.

During the meeting, Departments of NSDMA, PWD(R&B), Urban Development and Agriculture presented Power Point Presentation.
