Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio visited Phek district regarding COVID-19 on 15th May 2020 where he had a meeting with District administration, officers and NGOs of Phek District. He was accompanied by Y.Patton, Dy. CM, S. Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Neiba Kronu, Minister for Planning & Coordination and Land Revenue, K.T. Sukhalu Advisor, School Education, Kazheto Kinimi, Advisor, CAWD & NSDMA, Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA and Kezhienyi Khalo, MLA.

In the meeting CM called upon everyone to give their best to fight against COVID-19, while thanking District administration, police department, medical staffs and NGOs for giving the best effort in fighting against the disease.

He said that Nagaland is in a green zone till now, however we need to be alert and appealed to the people to stay at home for safety measures. He also thanked church leaders for taking equal responsibility.

Short speeches were given by S. Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Neiba Kronu, Minister for Planning & Coordination and Land Revenue, Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA and CPO President Mikha Kenye.

CM Neiphiu Rio also visited District Hospital Phek to review the preparedness and measures taken against COVID-19. The meeting was chaired by Sachin Jaiswal, IAS Deputy Commissioner Phek.
