Initiated by the Sumi Hoho, the first of its kind, 'Citizens Good Road Campaign' was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo on 9th November 2021 at Zungti village junction.

While delivering the keynote address President, Sumi Hoho, Nikheto Jimomi said that, Sumi Hoho wants to set an example to the Sumi community that by contributing little big projects can be achieved. He added that the response was very encouraging and that the project will cover 60 kilometres under and that the other groups led by some of its members have started the work from Kandiniu.

            President, Sumi Kukami Hoho, Kashito Yepthomi during his speech lauded President, Sumi Hoho and his colleagues for taking such a challenging project. He added that the Kandiniu road is not just for the Sumis but for all and he urged every individual to come forward and join hands in the project.

Yepthomi called on the GBs present to convey the message to every village GBs to cooperate in this initiatives by offering eatables also. He lauded Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo for always being supportive and believed that with his support black topping of the road can also be pursued.

            Lichamo, while flagging off the event, congratulated and lauded the Sumi Hoho for such a great initiative. He further hoped that not only Sumis but other Naga tribes also emulate the example.

Dr. Vihuto Asumi expressed his gratitude to all contributors . He lauded the church association SBAK Nito Mount and SBAK Aizuto for appealing to all the local churches to join hands in the project.

The program was chaired by General Secretary, Sumi Hoho, Dr Vihuto Asumi.
