The long-awaited Zunheboto Multi-Purpose Hall Zunheboto was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio on 4th November 2022.

Neiphiu, while addressing the gathering at the inauguration programme, said Zunheboto is known as the land of warriors and now with civilization and Christianity, it is no more head hunting time and urged upon the people of Zunheboto to be the warrior of peace.

He said that earlier it was known as "might is right" but with the civilization, it is now "right is might".

He asserted that we should all do away with individualism, villageism, and tribalism and be patriotic and come together as Nagaism.

He added that games and sports teach discipline and team spirit and therefore urged upon the sports persons to make a strong community with the building having been completed.

Rio informed that politics was God's grace and goodwill of the people and that the election is approaching but they have decided not to go for campaigning but first work for Naga political issues. He further said that there are people who work and eat and there are people who do nothing but only criticize others.

He stated that the Indian Government has accepted the uniqueness of Nagas and that even during British rule, Naga's traditions were left untouched.

Advisor School Education, KT Sukhalu while speaking at the event informed that Rs. two crore were initially allotted out of which Rs. 60 lakh for land was used and Rs. 60 lakh more was allotted and added that due to funding deficient, he approached the CM for another one crore which was allotted and could be materialized at the stipulated time.

He mentioned that the purchase of the longstanding needs of the town, and the land for the cemetery was also allowed and asked the CM to hand over the cheque to President Sumi Hoho.

He appealed to the citizens of Zunheboto to set up a committee to plan the burial orderly calling upon the churches to cooperate.

He further urged the CM if special attention could be given to the circuit house building if they get the chance to run the government.

Minister for Agriculture, G Kaito Aye, while speaking during the programme informed the gathering on behalf of the party and the government that the central legislatures today are together to address the Naga Political issue and called upon the people of Zunheboto to see that they come together to address Naga political issues.

President, Sumi Hoho, Nikheto Jimomi while delivering the Welcome address lauded the CM for his initiatives in the Zunheboto district while highlighting that under the CM's Chairmanship, purchases of land were made for Supply Godown costing Rs. 70 lakh, Land compensation at Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu costing Rs. 2.78 Crore, Zunheboto town graveyard costing Rs. 66.78 lakh, Land extension for Zunheboto Government College costing Rs. 25 lakh and Multi-purpose Hall costing Rs. 60 lakh besides other developments.

The Sumi Hoho president mentioned about 50 years of Khelhoshe Polytechnic existence and urged upon the benign authority to take measures to introduce degree courses at KPA at the earliest time and if possible in the upcoming academic session.

Earlier the dedication prayer was done by Dr. Hutton Sumi Pastor SBCZ and CM Nagaland unveiled the Monolith. The District band Zunheboto presented a special number and a special appearance was made by Naga Kheks on behalf of TAFMA, District Partner Zunheboto, a vote of thanks was proposed by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali IAS, and benediction was pronounced by Rev. Dr. Daniel Chishi Pastor ZTSBC.
