The 75th Platinum celebration of the Chakhesang Students Union was held at Phek Local ground with its theme “towards a refined guide” on 15th February 2022.

Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio graced, speaking on the occasion, said reaching the milestone is a historical moment for the union and greeted the pioneers of the leaders who contributed towards the union. He urged the student body to continue working for the welfare of the students' community as well as the people because students are the hope of the community.

While appreciating the Chakhesang community for playing a major role in various fields, he called upon them to uphold the legacy of elderly persons as the government has declared Phek as the 'land of tradition' because of its hard-working and cooperative attributes.

He maintained that Chakhesang people are no more backward and their attitude and mentality should change to catch up with others.

Earlier, the chief minister also unveiled the monolith.
