On 16/12/2022 at around 2030 Hrs the Narcotic Cell PS, PHQ personnel while conducting surprise MVCP at NH-2 intercepted one vehicle, Mahindra Bolero LX (White Colour) Bearing Registration No. - AS01AV/3793, Chassis No. MAI PL2GHKB5F80657, Engine No. - GHBYE5004 at National Highway - 2, Viswema Y Junction between Jakhama and Viswema. On a thorough search of the vehicle, the Narcotic PS personnel detected and recovered 50 (Fifty) nos of soap cases containing suspected heroin weighing approximately 650 grams. Accordingly, the driver of the vehicle namely N.G. Vapou (M) 21 Years, S/o - R. Ngaoni, V/o - Laii village, PO/PS - Tadubi, Dist - Senapati, State - Manipur was apprehended and the contraband items along with the vehicle were seized. In this connection, a regular case Vide Narcotic Cell PS C/No. 014/2022 U/S 21 (C)/60 NDPS Act was registered for further investigation.
