A co-ordination meeting consisting of Longching Village, Longching Town, L/Hongnyu, Mohung, M/Changai, Sowa Changnyu, Sowa Changle and the staff of all the departments under EAC HQ was held on 23rdAugust 2021 at Longching Village Council Hall, Mon in the presence of Eshak Hessum, MLA 47 A/C Aboi and EAC Longching.
Newly posted EAC Longching HQ, Dr. Cthitu Nienu was welcomed during the meeting. The EAC conveyed his appreciation to the house for their warm reception and appealed to the Village elders of Longching Circle to coordinate and cooperate with the various departments in maintaining law and order and also to co-operate in the effective execution of developmental works.
The MLA deliberated on various issues pertaining to the development of Longching Hq and Longching Circle in general and resolved to work cohesively for the overall infrastructural development of the Hq and the circle.
The house discussed on the following issues:
- Lack of EAC office building and the lack of staff.
- Complete absence of developmental schemes for unrecognized towns like Longching town.
- Need for new schools and also the shortage of teachers in schools.
- Need for new Anganwadi centers.
- Urgent need to upgrade Subcentre Longching to PHC.
- Also the need of new Sub centres in the villages.
The MLA assure that he would do his best to resolve the issues highlighted and urged the leaders to cooperate with him whenever necessary.
