As part of the sensitisation drive for the phase three of covishield vaccination in Mon organised by District Administration Mon and Department of Health and Family Welfare Mon, DC Mon Thavaseelan K IAS on 8th March 2021 visited Wagiem Ward to address a gathering of members from the ward council and other elders. 

            The DC in his address stated that the vaccination was not only for one's own safety but for the safety of the family and the community. He urged upon the people not to belief in rumours and false prophecies. He stated that the purpose of the visit was not to force them into taking the vaccine but to make them aware of the vaccination through proper channel and information.

            Doctors from the Medical team addressed the gathering with the procedures and eligibility to avail the vaccine while also clearing doubts and questions from the people.  

            The sensitisation drive will cover all the 11 Wards in Mon Town.
