In pursuance to the Notification issued by Home Department and as a measure of abundant precaution against harmful impact of chemical which have severe impact on the respiratory health of vulnerable groups and may prove hazardous for recovered as well as active COVID-19 patients, DC, Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan has directed complete ban on sale and use of fire crackers in Dimapur District from 10th November 2020 to 31st January 2021 in public interest.

The Goanburas/Chairman of the respective village/colonies have been directed to ensure compliance to the Order under supervision of the concerned area administrative officer.

DC further cautioned that any person found violating the order shall be punished under relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other relevant laws.
