Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur stated that it is brought to its notice that some individuals have illegally encroached and set up sand/brick stockyard, construction of temporary /permanent structures etc. on the roadside within the land acquired by Government for the 4-Lane construction and reserved as RoW along the Dimapur- By Pass 4-Lane Highway and Dimapur - Kohima 4-I.ane NH.29.

He said that such encroachments within the acquired land/Row are unauthorized and liable to be evicted as per Nagaland Eviction of persons in unauthorized occupation of Public Land Act, 1971 and others laws.

Therefore, the general public have been informed to refrain from encroaching into the acquired land/Row along the Dimapur Bye Pass Highway and Dimapur — Kohima 4-Lane NH.29.

Any person(s) found to be encroaching into the acquired Land/Row are liable to be proceeded against as per relevant provisions of Law.
