DC Kohima Gregory Thejawelie held a meeting with all heads of offices, representatives from AKMWP, AYO and ASU on 22nd March 2022 at DC’s Conference Hall Kohima.

The meeting was held to organised a mass social work in connection with the South Asian Athletic Federation (SAAF) Cross Country Championships & 56 National Cross Country Championships which is to be held in Kohima on 26th March 2022.

The meeting decided to hold a mass social work on 23rd March 2022 from 06:00 AM to 09:00 AM in Kohima town with the involvement of State Government employees, general public, district departmental officers, various Civil Societies and Organisations, ULBs, Colonies, Wards and GBs to make all the wards free of any kind of waste, rubble, muck, foliage and overgrowth etc. Any kind of waste including debris and building materials, which may be creating public nuisance or giving dirty look along the roads and paths would also be removed or disposed off.

The DC also requested the general public and CSOs to co-operate and provide assistance in helping carrying out the mass social work successfully.

District officers have been assigned as team leader to monitor and supervise the work at various designated locations and Colonies/wards to ensure their participation in good numbers in the social work and AYO and ASU to mobilize and assist the work
