DC KOHIMA INFORMS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS UNDER KOHIMA SUB- DIVISION

            DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawellie has informed ADC Tseminyu/Chiephobozou; SDO (C) Jakhama/Sechu/Sadar; EAC Kezocha/Botsa/Tsogin, regarding the reconstitution of Village Council that the last date for VCM proposal has been extended up to 30th April 2021.

            The DC has informed those villages that are yet to submit the VCM proposal for Government approval are directed to submit on or before 15th April 2021

            The notification also added that further as per Section 16 (6) and 16 (8) of the Nagaland village and Tribal Councils Act 1978 the concerned Officers have been requested to issue necessary instructions to the Villages under their respective jurisdiction to obtain declaration from all persons whose names are being forwarded for Village Council Member (VCM) on the following:

1. That he is not a salaried Government Servant.
2. That he is not a member of any other Village Council.
