The Office of Deputy Commissioner Kohima in an office order has stated that the security and smooth functioning of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima is hampered by the easy access of visitors who have no official work or matter to be attended to.
The order stated that owing to the rapid surge in COVID-19 cases in the whole country including Kohima district, the following instructions have been issued for immediate compliance:
- All Officers, Staff and visitors to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima Complex shall mandatorily wear mask, practice physical distancing and hand hygiene at all times.
- No visitor shall be allowed entry for purpose of selling any items of handicraft, ticket, calendars, badges, etc.
- Only authorized vehicles shall be allowed entry into the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima Complex and all other vehicles shall be parked outside the Complex.
- There shall be no public interview in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on WEDNESDAYS, except for matters of very urgent nature and matters concerning law and order.
- No visitor shall have access to any file or noting from any file, except through the laid down procedure of the RTI Act.
- The authorized Officer/Staff/Dealing Assistant/ Peon shall be accountable for safe custody and proper handling of files and records.
The order also stated that SDO(C) (Establishment) shall co-ordinate the required logistics for effective adherence to these instructions.
