Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS has informed that the Bailey bridge of the Dikhu river under National Highway – 202 along the Mokokchung – Tuensang stretch is under duress pressure and it is observed that many transport/heavy vehicles have been transporting beyond the admissible limit. The said Bailey bridge is in a dilapidated condition and poses a greater risk of damage if left unchecked. Therefore, all the transport/heavy vehicles shall be allowed to carry only 10 MT along the mentioned stretch. Any Truck Owners/Transport Agencies not adhering to this order shall be penalized.
