To enable youth aspirations through technology, engagement and opportunities, the District Advisory Committee on Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) held its first meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall, Mon on 6th August, 2026.

Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Wennyei Konyak, NCS while welcoming the newly constituted District Advisory Committee members of MY Bharat, expressed his gratitude to the Mera Yuva Bharat District Youth Officer and said that the youths of the district will enhance themselves with skills and opportunities.

District Youth Officer of MY Bharat, Mon, Rahul Sutliya through a PowerPoint presentation, presented the overview of the organisational structure, objectives, features and various opportunities it provides to the youth.

He said, the umbrella organisation platform mainly focuses on the youths (between 15-29 years) from urban and rural areas through constructive engagement, sports meet activities and fitness drive, youth led decision making that would engage them in the nation building process. While enhancing skills through vocational training courses, the platform also provides cultural exchange programmes, quiz, debates and the selected individual gets an opportunity to express their ideas at the national stage, he added.

He also informed that the youths should be encouraged to take a Nasha Mukti pledge after registration at MY Bharat portal.

To ensure maximum registration, the members of the meeting deliberated to extend invitations to educational institutions and established a dedicated nodal officer in their respective schools and colleges.

The meeting concluded with the constitution of the District Co-ordination Committee on Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), who will review the activities of MY Bharat monthly in the district.
