The Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, P Mono Khiamniungan has informed that temporary restoration of Lein Bridge located along the Noklak-Panso Road via Lengnyu/Tsuwao is completed and opened for vehicular movement.

The circular stated that the bridge is presently motor-able for light vehicles only. All commuters, vehicle owners and drivers have been advised to maintain a safe speed, avoid overloading and use the bridge with due caution and safety measures.

Further, the DC requested the public to extend their co-operation and comply with the advisory in the interest of safety and disaster risk reduction.

It may be mentioned that due to the heavy rain in the upstream on 19th July 2026, the bridge collapsed cutting off the surrounding villages completely.

With the timely intervention of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Noklak, Road & Bridge Department (R&B) and Village Council of Lengnyu and Tsuwao villages, the temporary wooden bridge measuring 57 feet long and 10 feet wide was constructed within a short period of time.
