Following a report regarding a house in Medical Ward, Kiphire was found to be on the verge of collapse, a spot verification was conducted by District Project Associate (DPA), District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kiphire, Berela T, on 7th September 2026.

The affected family has been relocated to a safer location as a precautionary measure.

The house poses a significant hazard to the nearby houses and residents. Therefore, it has been recommended that the structure be dismantled at the earliest to prevent any untoward incident and further risk to the surrounding properties.
