The District Administration and Mahila Shakti Kendra-District Level Center for Women Longleng in collaboration with Phom Baptist Christian Association and World Vision Longleng is scheduled to Celebrate International Women's Day cum Folk Dance Competition on the theme "Gender equality today for a Sustainable tomorrow" under the flagship program Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The program will be held on 8th March 2022 at Phom Lempong Convention Hall Longleng.

In this regard, the following members have been informed to attend the aforementioned program positively.

(1). Type of Settlement / Institution - Longleng Town

(2). Participants: (a) The entire Church members (Women) (b). Phomla Hoichem.

Further, the following Criteria/Guidelines are to be followed for the Folk Dance Competition:

            (1) The competition will be block-wise under Longleng District. (a). Sarder (b) Sakshi block (c) Yachem block (d) Yongnyah block (e) Tamlu block (f) Namsang block.

            (2) The number of participants should not exceed more than 20 (twenty).

            (3) Participants list should be submitted at District Level Center for women Longleng on or before 1st March 2022

            (4) Judging Criteria will be based on: (a) Originality (b) Choreography (c) Execution of Movement (d) Technical skills: Group Harmony (e) Overall impression (audience appeal, costumes, folk cultural elements) (f) Time Slot 7-10 minutes. (5) The winner will be decided by the top highest scores awarded by the judge based on the judgment criteria (6) Winner will be awarded certificates and cash prizes.
