The District Task Force on Covid-19, Kiphire, in its meeting has resolved to award those securing 100% vaccination amongst the eleven wards and to award for highest percentage at village level. The meeting was held on 9th July 2021 at DPDB, Conference hall, Kiphire and was chaired by DC & Chairman DTF, T.Wati Aier.

The DC informed that despite efforts being carried out in the district, it has the lowest percentage in Covid-19 vaccination amongst the districts in the state, wherein he urged the members and ward chairmen, ward GBs and ward representatives to put more effort in vaccination drive to achieve target on Government directive. Aier also informed that financial assistance will be given to all the eleven ward to help monitor Covid-19 activities in their respective wards. The DC also expressed his concerned and suggested DEO, to educate the teachers to create awareness on sensitisation and vaccination drive.

CMO, Motsuthung while briefing on Covid-19 status said that six people in the district died by Covid-19 disease and out of six people, only one person received the first dose.

DIO, Dr. K. Pewezo Khalo highlighting the status of Covid-19 activities said that around 30 villages have not yet vaccinated even a single person. He also said that as per the government directives, the target is to achieve 90% vaccination.

The members deliberated on Covid-19 3rd wave preparation with certain strategies and activities to be carried out in the entire district.

The DTF and in collaboration with 41 Assam Rifles have decided to conduct intensified special vaccination drive  on Covid-19 at deluxe point, Kiphire from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on 11th July 2021. All the eligible beneficiaries have been informed to avail the opportunity.
