Deputy Chief Minister, Y. Patton held a meeting on Covid-19 with the Frontline workers and the Bhandari Block Task Force members at the Community Health Center (CHC) Bhandari, on 1st June 2021.

Taking stock of the Covid-19 situation at the inter-state border sub-division, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that though Bhandari sub-division is placed at a very challenging area being a state border, it was found to be one of the most efficient blocks in managing and containing the Covid-19 pandemic and appreciated the frontline workers for their hard work and consistent efforts.

Assuring support to the frontline workers in combating the Covid-19 pandemic and in delivering health safety services to the public, he encouraged them to highlight their requirements for redressal on time.

Advisor IT& Communication, Science & Technology and NRE, Mhonlumo Kikon thanked the Deputy Chief Minister for his special concern and assistance for the public of Bhandari during the challenging times. 

            Senior Medical Officer (SMO) CHC, Bhandari, Dr.Caroline informed that around 2,000 people have been vaccinated till date. She further informed that random sample testing for Covid-19 have been carried out at different strategic locations within the Sub-division and Covid-19 management have been so far, being carried out smoothly with the resources available at its disposal. She also thanked the visiting team for donating cash and materials required to meet the needs for combating the pandemic.

The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Advisor, Horticulture, Mhathung Yanthan, MLA, Dr. Chumben Murry, DC, SP and CMO Wokha besides others.
