DY. CM, Y. PATTON INAUGURATES CLOCK TOWER, WOKHA

Dy. Chief Minister, Home & Road & Bridges (R&B), Yanthung Patton inaugurated clock tower, Wokha on 11th December 2020.

Minister, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Jacob Zhimomi addressing the public expressed his happiness to be a part of epoch making landmark structure inauguration in Wokha district. He thanked Y. Patton for generously constructing from his own resources to construct the clock tower for the love of his community. He said that Lothas are fortunate to have a senior benevolent leader, who is second in command to lead the State. He also appealed to the other three legislative members from the district to come forward and extend co-operation with the Dy. Chief Minister for the betterment of the Lotha community in particular and for the Nagas in general. He added that if we think only for our own benefit it will be a great disadvantage for the growth of community, whereby he appealed to the Lotha community to extend full co-operation which will bring blessing to the community.

Jacob also reminded the public on the advancement of modern information technology (IT) which has come to us too soon, without knowing the disadvantages of modern technology our today’s youngsters has plunged into the use of mobile phone technology which has many negative impact in our society. While speaking on the water supply for Wokha town which he inaugurated last year at Vankhosung main reservoir, Jacob assured that the department will try its best to give at least basic requirement of water supply from the said reservoir before next year monsoon. He also said department could not augment adequate water storage due to some technical problem which will be rectified soon.Jacob also stressed on the importance of free will donation from the public for the successful implementation of any Government projects, there should not be any hindrance on the land issue, public has to sacrifice to bring development in our State.

Lotha Hoho, Mhondamo Lotha on behalf of Lotha Hoho in particular and public in general thanked the Dy. Chief Minister & Home Minister, Y. Patton for constructing the Clock Tower from his own initiative. Phyobemo Tungoe supervised the construction. Mhondamo Lotha also appealed to the Minister of Public Health Engineering (PHED) Jacob Zhimomi to strengthen and renovate the Wokha town water supply from Engorotchu main reservoir from Vankhosung, since the water supply is not being satisfactorily delivered for adequate public service.

Benediction prayer for the inauguration of the clock tower was pronounced by Executive Secretary, LBCA, Rev. L. Tsanso, the programmed was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Orenthung Lotha.
