Sanjeev Sanyal, a member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, along with Devi Prasad Mishra, Director of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, undertook a two-day visit to Phek District in Nagaland. The visit took place on the 28th and 29th of October 2023.

            On the 28th, Sanjeev Sanyal participated in an interactive meeting at the DPDB Hall in Phek Headquarters. The meeting was organized by the Phek District Chamber of Commerce & Industries and was chaired by Dr. Zhokusheyi Rhakho, Assistant Professor at Phek Government College.

            During this session, Sanjeev Sanyal delivered a special address to the entrepreneurs and attendees. He emphasized that the purpose of his visit was to gain a deep understanding of the challenges and issues faced by grassroots business entrepreneurs. He aimed to formulate policies that would help improve the state's economy. Sanjeev Sanyal also expressed concern about the need for efficient electricity supply in the state.

            Various participants, including businesspeople, entrepreneurs, college teachers, and students, actively engaged in the interactive session. They raised concerns about the lack of facilities and the various challenges faced by business entrepreneurs, as well as by students and educated individuals in the state.

            The welcome address was given by ADC Phek, Ruopfukutou Noudi, and Chetezo Akami, President of the Phek District Chamber of Commerce delivered the vote of thanks.

            During their two-day visit to Phek District, Sanjeev Sanyal visited the villages of Lozaphuhu and Ruzazho on the 28th of October, 2023. On the 29th of October, he visited the village of Vuthyo. During these visits, he paid respects to the last known location of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the construction site of Netaji's Indian National Army (INA) Memorial.
