The State Government informed that the High Powered Committee on COVID-19 in its meeting held on 16th June 2021reviewed the situation in the State and it is has observed that the positivity rate of COVID-19 in the State continues to remain high, above 5% in all the districts of the State, warranting the need for taking adequate measures for preventing the spread of COVID-19;

Also, after taking the views of the Health & Family Welfare Department and the Districts Task Force; in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 22 (2) (b) and Section 22 (2) (h) of the Disaster Management Act. 2005, Chief Secretary, J. Alam, in the capacity of Chairperson, State Executive Committee, has directed that the existing lockdown measures shall continue to remain in force in the State from 19th June 2021 to 30th June 2021, with the additional provisions as given hereunder;

  1. There shall be a total ban on the movement of individuals/ vehicles from 04.00 P.M. to 05.00 A.M. every day, across the State except for reasons/ purposes and for those who are permitted to move as per the existing lock down measures.
  2. The District Task Force based on local conditions may take additional stricter measures in their respective districts/ areas, if in its opinion such measures are urgently required for containing the spread of COVID-19.
